Even with the family around, a child can feel all alone. A child can be often disappointed, misunderstood, ignored, and forgotten. Children’s expression of feelings may be complex. Children often feel that it’s their fault! With appropriate psychological help and family therapy, children, mum, and dad, and the whole family can be happier.
Sometimes, we feel that we have nowhere to go…sometimes, we feel desperate: we feel there are no answers, no solutions. Sometimes, we wish things were different. Often, we look for directions, often we seek reassurance. Often, we manage despite having to jump over so many hurdles. Psychological intervention can bring desired positive change.

Depression and anxiety are common feelings following relationships breakdowns. Couples Therapy can help partners explore and change previous maladaptive patterns.
Exploring and processing emotional and other personal differences and maladaptive interactive patterns improves communication, closeness and intimacy for many couples who take a risk of opening up and sharing their fears, pains, anxieties, and insecurities with their partners. Although exploring and sharing one’s feelings with the partner is often demanding and emotionally draining, the results are often happiness and content.

About me
I have been working therapeutically with patients for more than 26 years and since the time I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology in 1983. I have worked in the capacity of: a Rehabilitation Counsellor with the Commonwealth Rehabilitation Services; then, as a Drug & Alcohol/Methadone Assessor with the Department of Corrective Services. I have been working as a Generalist, Counselling, and Clinical Psychologist since 1989 offering a range of services listed on this Website.
I am trained as a Marital/Couples & Family Therapist and have been working with couples and families since 1991. I am trained in Clinical/Applied Hypnosis and have been using Clinical Hypnosis as an adjunct treatment for many Psychological Problems. I conduct assessments including psychometric testing and personality assessments. I offer personal individual psychotherapy.
I treat my patients with respect: I am attentive, empathic, and always attempt to match therapy with the patients’ presenting problems. I am committed to evidence-based practice with a goal of enhancing patients’ wellbeing and adjustment to everyday life.
